  8.           Section 3.1    Configuring a NetWare for the HP 3000  Server

  12.                     NetWare for the HP 3000 brings the most commonly
  13.                     installed Personal Computer (PC) Network Operating
  14.                     System (NOS) to the HP 3000 Series 900.  NetWare
  15.                     on the HP 3000 provides the functionality of
  16.                     Novell Inc.'s PC services including file and
  17.                     printer sharing, server administration functions
  18.                     (such as password security, connection
  19.                     maintenance, bindery facility, print queue
  20.                     management and accounting services).  The HP 3000
  21.                     with NetWare services will connect to existing
  22.  
  23.  
  24.                     Novell networks or can be used to build new
  25.                     NetWare networks and provide the same services as
  26.                     NetWare PC based servers.  What the user will see,
  27.                     however, is the power and capability of the HP
  28.                     3000, such as a wide variety of peripherals, large
  29.                     memory capacity, and processing power including
  30.                     multi-processors.  These features will bring
  31.                     expandability to PC networks never before
  32.                     possible.

  108.                     NetWare 3.01B for the HP 9000 Series 800 is a
  109.                     fully compatible NetWare server product that
  110.                     provides transparent integration of DOS, OS/2,
  111.                     Windows, and UNIX (TM) (NFS) desktop systems.  The
  112.                     HP 9000 with NetWare services will connect into
  113.                     existing Novell (R) networks or can be used to
  114.                     build new NetWare networks and provide the same
  115.                     services as PC based NetWare servers.  NetWare for
  116.                     the HP 9000 is a robust, high speed network
  117.                     operating system that enables HP 9000 systems to
  118.                     operate as a file and resource server to desktop
  119.                     workstations.  It runs on, and takes advantage of,
  120.                     HP's full range of powerful HP-UX servers.
